Terms of Service

Welcome to motii (the “Service”), provided by motii. ApS (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using motii, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, you may not use the Service.
1. What motii is
motii is a personal learning tool that helps users organise, reflect on and work with their own knowledge with AI assistance. motii is:
- A reflection tool
- A learning tool
- A tool that supports thinking
motii is not:
- Advice
- Coaching
- Education
- Therapy
- A financial adviser
- A legal adviser
2. AI-generated content
motii includes an AI assistant that generates answers based on the user’s input. You accept that:
- AI answers may be wrong, incomplete or misleading
- The AI does not fully understand reality or your situation
- The AI does not make decisions — you do
You must not treat AI answers as professional advice. Decisions you make on the basis of motii are your own responsibility.
If you export or publish content that motii generated, you may have your own duty under the EU AI Act to disclose that it is AI-generated — in particular for deepfakes and for text published to inform the public about matters of public interest. 3. No professional advice
motii must not be used as a substitute for professional advice in:
- Medicine or health
- Psychology or mental health treatment
- Financial investment
- Legal decisions
- Safety-critical situations
Always contact a qualified professional for such needs.
4. User responsibility
You are responsible for:
- How you use information from motii
- Decisions you make
- Content you upload
- Not sharing sensitive information
You may not use motii for:
- Illegal activity
- Harmful or abusive content
- Generating misinformation
- Presenting AI answers as professional advice
5. User content
You retain ownership of your content. By using the Service you grant us permission to process your content solely to deliver the features of the app. We make no copyright claim to your notes or material.
6. Availability
We strive to keep motii available, but do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted operation
- Error-free function
- Permanent data availability
motii is provided “as is”.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted, we disclaim liability for:
- Direct or indirect loss
- Decisions made on the basis of AI answers
- Lost data
- Business losses
- Psychological or financial consequences
You use motii at your own risk.
8. Account
You are responsible for protecting your account. We may suspend or close accounts in the event of misuse.
9. Termination
You may stop using motii at any time. We may close access in the event of a breach of these terms.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of motii after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Danish law. If you are a consumer resident in another country, this does not affect the rights you may have under mandatory consumer legislation in your country of residence.
12. Fair use and misuse of AI features
To ensure stable operation and protect the Service against misuse, we may monitor usage patterns relating to AI features, including the volume of requests, resource consumption and content type. We may at our own discretion limit, suspend or close access to all or part of the Service if we judge that the use:
- Is abnormal or disproportionately resource-intensive
- Attempts to circumvent the system’s limits
- Uses the Service for automated or machine-generated bulk use
- Is used in breach of these terms or applicable law
- Constitutes a security or operational risk to the Service
We are not obliged to give a detailed justification for such restrictions where this is necessary for reasons of security, abuse prevention or the integrity of the system.
